Practice History
Our founder, Dr. Claude P. Dowd graduated from UNC School of Dentistry in 1984, after serving four years in the US Navy.
He opened Dowd Family Dentistry in Fayetteville in 1985 then, in 1993 moved to the current location.
In 2008, Dr. Dowd was so pleased to add his daughter, Dr. Tracy Dowd Johnson, a proud graduate of UNC School of Dentistry.
Our Mission
It is our deepest desire to make a positive difference in the lives of the families in this community and surrounding areas. We want to offer the highest quality, but affordable dental care in an office that has an atmosphere of compassion, honesty, and gentle care. In doing these things we want to provide our patients with a professional and highly educated team that listens to their needs and cares. We want our patients to leave feeling as though they have improved their dental health, appearance and feel more self-confident.
